5G mobile network as a danger to people and nature

The evaluation of 164 study results on arthropods (mainly insects) clearly shows that the harmful effect of non-ionizing radiation on insects has been proven. The massive expansion of the mobile network to 5G in particular poses a serious threat to our ecosystems.

On behalf of the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), experts from the University of Neuchâtel (CH) compiled an overview of the research results to date on the effects of non-ionizing radiation (NIR or NI radiation) on insects, spiders and other arthropods. Of the 164 study results, 132 showed negative effects, which corresponds to 80 percent of all results, as reported in a press release from the schutz-vor-strahlung.ch association. As the results are largely consistent with each other, there is a high probability, according to the report, that the identified effects will actually occur in reality. This is the first time that scientists have systematically investigated and evaluated the previously published studies on the effects of NI radiation on arthropods using internationally recognized and proven methods.

Important role for the ecosystem
In the studies investigated, arthropods were exposed to different NI radiation sources and examined for biologically relevant consequences. NI radiation penetrates the animal’s body and triggers processes there, in many cases with consequences for reproduction, locomotion, behavior, foraging and DNA, i.e. the genetic material. The arthropod phylum includes insects, spiders, millipedes and beetles. The approximately one million species of this phylum are an essential part of many food chains and play an important role in our ecosystems.

Damage proven

The NI radiation used in the studies includes radiation from power cables, smart meters (0Hz – 100 kHz), mobile phone transmitters, WLAN and other technical devices (100 KHz – 6 GHz). A total of twelve studies are dedicated to the impact of millimeter waves (future 5G, radar 6 GHz – 300 GHz). The arthropods examined were irradiated with electric field strengths of less than 5 V/m to over 100 V/m. Negative health effects occurred at all radiation intensities. According to the study, it is currently assumed that damage to humans only occurs when the immission limits are exceeded. Depending on the frequency, these are between 32 V/m and 61 V/m. However, there are no limit values in Switzerland for the protection of insects and other wild animals!

Electrosmog in hearing aids

The Swiss consumer magazine Saldo recently reported on the risks of hearing aids. Radio transmitters in hearing aids apparently emit electromagnetic radiation. According to Saldo, this can cause discomfort for sensitive people. This is shown by measurements taken by electrosmog specialist Peter Schlegel from Esslingen ZH. He measured the wireless radiation of four behind-the-ear hearing aids from the brands Phonak, Starkey and Widex from the mid to upper price range. This showed that in standby mode, i.e. in normal operating mode, the hearing aids caused radiation in the range of 0.41 to 0.7 volts per meter (V/m). For comparison: The guideline value of the European Building Biology Association for standby mode is 0.06 V/m. The values measured by Peter Schlegel are therefore around ten times higher. The electrosmog expert Manfred Mierau from Aachen (Germany) also tested the radiation exposure of hearing aids. He confirms: He had obtained results of the same order of magnitude in his measurements. According to Mierau, the radiation can cause discomfort, for example discomfort or headaches, in people who are electrosensitive. The radio waves from hearing aids are generally less powerful than those from cell phones, says Mierau. But the hearing aids irradiate the head all day long, not just for the duration of a phone call. And they are close to the wearer’s head. In addition to the Bluetooth transmitter, hearing aids sometimes contain a second radiation source, the NFMI radio transmitter, which enables the two hearing aids to be tuned to each other.

New book: The illicit disease

With or without a hearing aid: at least two percent of the population in Germany are electro-hypersensitive – affected by radio waves. Generate a harmonic oscillation field

How can you protect yourself and your children from high-frequency radiation and electrosmog? “The law of resonance states that no resonances can occur in an oscillating field with oscillations whose frequencies lie outside those of the field,” says Richard Neubersch. In other words: In a harmonic oscillation field, artificial radiation has no effect, regardless of who generates it, whether it comes from a neighbor or a nearby mobile phone mast.
