Many people complain, for example, of unexplained headaches or stinging in their limbs. The following study evaluatively examines the connection between pain and proximity to radiofrequency radiation sources such as cell phones. The results of the study are clear: the longer a cell phone is carried in the hand or in a trouser pocket, the higher the risk of overheating and pain. The trouser pocket or a cover have no shielding effect; only the SAR value of the radiation source used changed the result.
The bee, the flower and the electromagnetic field
An American study on the pollination of flowers shows how sensitively natural organisms react to electromagnetic impulses. Bees therefore not only find flowers based on visual perception and smell, the electromagnetic field of both organisms also plays a major role in pollination. The study suggests that a large part of the animal world could be dependent on highly sensitive processes at the electromagnetic level. Large numbers of artificial radiation sources could disrupt processes such as these.
Influence on embryo development
In order to test the effect of cell phone radiation on natural processes, another American research group exposed pregnant mice to artificially produced electromagnetic fields and observed the development of the embryos. The effects were compared with a control group without any particular additional radiation. According to the study, mice that are exposed to particularly high levels of radiation produce smaller and more disease-prone offspring. The number of stillbirths appears to increase significantly in mice exposed to the artificial radiation source. Problems with the formation and structure of blood vessels are also more common in these mice. According to the authors of the study, a harmful effect on embryo development could therefore be clearly demonstrated in these mammals.
