Although more and more doctors, researchers and those affected are warning of the dangers of mobile phone radiation, in many places the authorities are not taking the signals seriously. A new documentary looks at the health risks of mobile telephony and shows the machinations used by the industry to defend itself against critics.
On Friday, 26 February 2016, the German Bundestag debated the Act on the Digitization of the Energy Transition at its first reading. The draft law provides for the mandatory installation of so-called “smart meters”, i.e. intelligent metering systems, in private households too. “Nobody needs another compulsory law to install products that are harmful to health and of poor quality and technology, as was the case years ago with energy-saving light bulbs,” criticizes Jörn Gutbier from the environmental and consumer organization diagnose:funk. The fact that smart metering does not actually save any energy at household level that could not be achieved through awareness campaigns has already been demonstrated to the German government several times. Nevertheless, the current draft law already provides for the possibility of mandatory installation in all households from 2020. “According to the wishes of the market-dominating metering point operators and the telecommunications industry, radio systems that are harmful to health are to be used here as a matter of priority,” criticizes Jörn Gutbier, the CEO responsible for consumer protection, and demands “that all electricity customers, whether tenants or owners, must always have a free choice and retain full control over their data. In addition, comprehensive information must be provided on the advantages and disadvantages of “smart” metering systems before they are installed. And where the use of communication modules is desired and makes sense, data transmission should be wired wherever possible.
Berkley: Warning about cell phone radiation
Elsewhere, the authorities are more aware of the dangers of electromagnetic radiation. The US city of Berkeley, for example, will soon require cell phone vendors to warn their customers about the potential dangers of radiation after a federal judge rejected an industry-backed campaign. This wanted to postpone the city’s ordinance on information rights for consumers. US District Judge Edward Chen ruled in September that the Berkeley ordinance was valid because it was based on guidelines issued by the US Federal Communications Commission. Apparently many other cities, including San Francisco, have been following the Berkeley case closely and are looking to implement their own cell phone use awareness laws.
The notice that Berkeley’s ordinance would require reads, “To ensure safety, the U.S. federal government requires that cell phones meet radiofrequency exposure guidelines. If you carry a cell phone in a pants or shirt pocket or tuck it behind your bra while it is on and connected to a wireless network, you may be exceeding federal guidelines for exposure to radio frequency radiation. Read the instructions in your cell phone’s user manual for information on its safe use.”
Doctors demand recognition of hypersensitivity
Elsewhere, the pressure on the authorities to deal with mobile phone radiation is also growing. In France, for example, according to a report by diagnose:funk, 50 doctors and medical professionals have called on the government to recognize electrosensitivity as a pathological condition that affects health. Hypersensitivity to electromagnetic waves generated by mobile phone masts or cell phones could trigger several complaints, including sleep disorders, cognitive impairment and headaches.
New documentary about the risks of mobile communications and the economic interests of providers
In his new film “Thank you for calling”, which premiered in Austria recently, documentary filmmaker Klaus Scheidsteger takes aim at the mobile phone problem (see also report in the Bayerische Staatszeitung). In his film, numerous scientists from all over the world have their say on the risk of brain tumors that can develop as a result of excessive cell phone use. But the industry and smartphone users don’t want to hear that. Klaus Scheidsteger’s film impressively shows the methods used by the mobile communications industry to combat all those who draw attention to the dangers of mobile communications.
Swiss Harmony: Protection against harmful radiation
The company “Swiss Harmony“, based in Grellingen, specializes in protection against electromagnetic radiation, but also against water veins and other radiation fields. Swiss Harmony’s products for harmonizing houses and apartments ensure that the electricity that supplies a building with electricity receives a different message. They transmit the information of the visible light spectrum to the passing current via the resonance path, which in turn distributes it throughout the entire effective range of the circuit. The electromagnetic field of the apartment or house becomes a harmonious field. In-house WLAN transmitters, cell phones or cordless phones are interference-free because they are connected to the harmonic current field and therefore emit the same harmonic information.
New: Organic wedding rings
The mobile products from Swiss Harmony (BioRing, BodyCard, BioBracelet and the BioPatch) harmonize the human body by transmitting the harmonic vibration as information to the human energy system. This means that artificially created radiation fields can no longer resonate. A new addition is the organic wedding ring, made exclusively by hand by Beat Schild (“Gold & Stein”) in Brienz. The biotraining rings generate a harmonic vibration spectrum in the body with which non-harmonic vibrations cannot form a resonance. This renders all known environmental influences such as electrical stress, cell phone radiation, water veins, earth radiation, environmental toxins, etc. ineffective for health.
