What 5G has to do with democracy and human dignity

Yet another new study proving the link between mobile phone radiation and cancer. Nevertheless, 5G technology is being driven forward at full speed. It stands not only for faster Internet and massively higher radiation exposure, but possibly also for the end of democracy.

According to a report on heilpraxis.net, a long-term US study on the effects of radio wave radiation emitted by cell phones has found “clear evidence of a link between high exposures and the development of cancer”. In their recent study, scientists at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) found that cell phones could be linked to the development of cancer. The doctors published a press release on the results of their study. The studies took a decade and cost more than 30 million US dollars. The results of the studies raise important questions, especially because the lowest exposure levels were the maximum levels allowed for cell phones, the doctors say. The scientists found that male rats had a higher incidence of tumors on the heart compared to control rats that were not exposed to radiation. Experts believe that the link between radiofrequency radiation and tumors in male rats is real, but some critics doubt this. The study also focused on 2G and 3G radio signals, the most commonly used variants in cell phones at the beginning of the study. However, the researchers say that their findings are still relevant today, as most cell phones still use these frequency bands alongside Wi-Fi and 4G.

Merging people with machines

After 4G, 5G frequencies are now just around the corner. In November, the course is to be set for the auction of the new 5G frequencies in March. That is why Prof. Dr. theol. habil. Werner Thiede, author of the book “Mythos Mobilfunk” (2012), calls for reflection – in the form of a brochure. In an interview with Prof. Dr. Helmuth Kern from the Diagnose-Funk board, he spoke about his new publication entitled “Die digitale Fortschrittsfalle. Why the gigabit society with 5G mobile communications threatens to take a step backwards in terms of freedom and health”. “If God himself became man in Jesus Christ, then every human being has a fundamental dignity. In the course of digitalization, however, human dignity is in a tailspin. Totalitarian tendencies are on the rise – I am reminded of the book by IT expert Yvonne Hofstetter “The End of Democracy” and numerous bestsellers on digitally managed surveillance culture. Part of the logic of the digital revolution is the desire to optimize people and merge them with machines,” criticizes Werner Thiede. The image of man is no longer based on the image of God, but on the image of the machine. Post- or transhumanism were the philosophical or ideological views and re-evaluations.

Totalitarian imposition

According to Werner Thiede, there is currently a joint struggle between politicians and corporations to achieve nationwide mobile communications coverage as soon as possible and to cover almost one hundred percent of the population. – “And this in 2018, when new, well-founded scientific warnings about the carcinogenic potential of this radiation have come to us from the USA. Some European experts and doctors also share this critical view. I can formulate it quite thoughtfully: The fact is that there are controversial international expert opinions on the possible effects of mobile phone radiation. But precisely because the research situation is unclear, i.e. not really clarified, I think it is basically outrageous to impose mobile phone radiation on people in a total, quasi totalitarian way, despite the fact that it is by no means risk-free.” According to Werner Thiede, citizens who are critical of radiation or even feel it painfully as electrosensitive people have little chance of avoiding it. The Association of Towns and Municipalities is already expecting resistance from the population due to the many locations of radio equipment that will be necessary for 5G; they are preparing to counter this with “legal certainty”. “As far as I know, the ethical idea of <white zones> to protect the affected minority is no longer heard of in politics and business,” regrets Werner Thiede.

Caught in the media bubble

But who cares, one is tempted to ask. There is hardly any debate on this topic in the media. The fear of annoying or even losing important mobile advertising customers seems too great. Or are we already dealing with so-called deprived journalists? This term became popular among young people: It means that an ever-increasing proportion of adolescents are constantly connected to the media, but hardly take in any information (“news”). They move in their bubble, as Christian Mensch puts it in the “Mensch & Medien” column in “Schweiz am Wochenende”. The deprived journalist would be one who spins in the hamster wheel of everyday editorial work. But according to Christian Mensch, he too is part of a bubble, a “media-convergent, large-scale socialized entity that produces hors-sol journalism”: “Nice to look at, even if it sometimes tastes stale.”

5G forces people to take responsibility
Back to the dangers of 5G technology: Richard Neubersch, owner of Swiss Harmony , describes in the following video what will change with 5G and that each individual should ensure protection for themselves and their family.
