The lack of attention that is diagnosed in affected children can also be found in key areas of our healthcare system. In many practices, underage ADHD patients are sent home with strong psychotropic drugs.
This treatment method has been observed in North America for several years. In US children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), for example, neuroleptics are increasingly replacing necessary psychotherapies or less debilitating stimulants such as Ritalin.
The previously highly criticized high sales volume of Ritalin is now showing a downward trend, which is presumably due to the increased prescription of atypical neuroleptics such as risperidone, paliperidone, quetiapine and tiapride. These are all active substances that are used to treat severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, delusions or manic-depressive/bipolar disorder.
The trend of dispensing these powerful medications has now also arrived in Europe: According to recent evaluations by the health insurer CSS, Switzerland’s largest basic insurer, the significant form of treatment for children and adolescents with ADHD symptoms in Switzerland has quadrupled in the last ten years.

Susanne Walitza, Medical Director of the Center for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Zurich, confirms the sharp rise, but does not consider the figures to be alarming. “They roughly correspond to the frequency of severe psychiatric illnesses in children and adolescents,” explains the psychiatrist. However, it is not clear from the results whether the strong mind-altering antipsychotic drugs were used exclusively in cases of these severe illnesses.
A 2013 study by the German health insurance company Barmer GEK revealed precisely this misprescription: In most cases, neuroleptics are prescribed in connection with ADHD and other disorders of social behavior, although these disorders are not attributed to such acting psychotropic drugs.
Swiss Harmony offers a holistic approach – without side effects
The most common reason for antidepressants being prescribed is inadequate anamnesis and diagnosis due to time pressure and a high volume of patients in most practices. A detailed analysis of the cause of the ailment is the prerequisite for further treatment.
This is where Swiss Harmony comes in. The gentle Swiss harmonization method has already helped ADHD patients and relieved their symptoms in a sensitive way.
Environmental causes, such as exposure to electrosmog, are not taken into account in the majority of medical practices. Yet it is precisely these electromagnetic interference fields that can be the masterminds behind neurological and mental illnesses.
With an all-encompassing approach, Swiss Harmony provides a healthier and natural alternative to the dubious healthcare system, which needs more urgent attention, through detailed and personalized advice and its special products.
