Mobile phone radiation: guidelines, recommendations and a lot of initiative

The European Academy of Environmental Medicine recently published the EMF guideline with assessments and recommendations on the effects of electromagnetic radiation. You cannot protect yourself from the negative effects of this radiation without taking the initiative.

It is considered a milestone in the medical and health policy debate: the EMF Guideline 2016 published by the European Academy of Environmental Medicine (EUROPAEM) has just been published in Reviews on Environmental Health. According to a report by the Association of Physicians and Mobile Radio, it contains current medical assessments and perspectives on the global EMF discussion, possible EMF health effects, electrohypersensitivity (EHS), clinical pictures, health policy recommendations and other topics.

Reassessing risks

The EUROPAEM EMF Guideline 2016 on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of EMF-related complaints and diseases states: “Chronic diseases with unspecific symptoms are on the increase. In addition to chronic stress in the social environment and at work, there are physical and chemical environmental factors in the home, at work and during leisure time that act as causal or exacerbating stressors and deserve more attention from both general practitioners and all medical professionals. It seems necessary to now also consider such “new exposures” as EMF. Doctors are increasingly confronted with complaints of unknown cause …” The guideline reflects the current state of medical science on the risks of low-frequency and high-frequency electromagnetic fields – EMF for short – for humans. It addresses health risks, including electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS), and provides recommendations on how doctors can diagnose, treat and prevent EHS.

New challenges for society and doctors

According to the EUROPAEM EMF guideline, there is a suspicion “that electromagnetic environmental influences can play a causal role with regard to EMF-related complaints”. These included exposure of the population to radio frequency from, for example, cordless phones (DECT), mobile phone base stations and cell phones (GSM, GPRS, UMTS, LTE), in particular smartphones, data cards for laptops and notebooks, WLAN and radio-based and PLC-based smart meters, but also to low-frequency electric fields (ELF EF) and low-frequency magnetic fields (ELF MF) including “dirty electricity” generated by

Malfunctions of electrical installations, power lines, electrical appliances and other machines. “These exposures pose new challenges for both society and the medical profession,” the authors emphasize. In contrast to the WHO headquarters in Geneva, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), an agency affiliated to the WHO and based in Lyon, apparently classified low-frequency magnetic fields (ELF MF) as “possibly carcinogenic to humans” in 2002 and also classified high-frequency electromagnetic fields in 2011. It should also be noted that more than 20 position papers and resolutions on the subject of EMF and health have been adopted by EMF researchers and doctors over the last 20 years.

Personal initiative required

However, in the fight against increasing exposure to mobile phone radiation and electrosmog, people must not rely on politics and science. What is needed is a high degree of personal initiative – such as that of the Austrian citizens’ initiative Solidarwerkstatt. Together with many committed citizens, it has repeatedly protested against illegal practices by electricity companies, for example, and generated public pressure for the right to opt out. Now, for the first time, this right has been successfully enforced. Wiener Netze GmbH recently informed a gentleman in Vienna that his Ferraris electricity meter had reached the prescribed calibration date and would therefore be replaced by a smart meter. This installation will take place in a few days. So once again: no information about the documented right to opt out. However, this customer did not put up with this and, after consulting with the Solidarwerkstatt, demanded his right to opt out and to keep the Ferraris electricity meter in a letter that he also sent to the mayor and Vienna’s city politicians. He would not allow the smart meter to be installed under any circumstances. And lo and behold, a few days later an employee from Wiener Netze GmbH appeared and installed a new Ferraris electricity meter, calibrated for another 25 years.

Good intentions: Give up your cell phone

As the DAK-Gesundheit survey on good intentions for 2017 shows, more and more people are realizing that too much exposure to mobile phones is harmful. According to the DAK-Gesundheit survey, many people want to be offline more often. One in five Germans is planning to use their cell phone, computer or the Internet less in the coming year. Among young adults, more than one in three (38 percent) are even planning to withdraw from the online world. Reducing stress is still the number one resolution: six out of ten Germans want to relax more in 2017. In second place is more time for family and friends (57 percent). This is shown by a recent Forsa study* with more than 3,000 respondents on behalf of DAK-Gesundheit.

Generate a harmonic oscillation field
How can you protect yourself from high-frequency radiation and electrosmog? “The law of resonance states that no resonances can occur in an oscillating field with oscillations whose frequencies lie outside those of the field,” says Richard Neubersch. In other words: In a harmonic oscillation field, artificial radiation has no effect, regardless of who generates it, whether it comes from a neighbor or a nearby mobile phone mast. The mobile products from Swiss Harmony (BioRing, BodyCard, BioBracelet and the BioPatch) harmonize the human body by transmitting the harmonic vibration as information to the human energy system. This means that artificially created radiation fields can no longer resonate.
Protection from harmful radiationIn concrete terms, this means that Products from Swiss Harmony for harmonizing houses and apartments ensure that the electricity that supplies a building with electricity receives a different message. “They transfer the information of the visible light spectrum to the passing current via the resonance path, which in turn distributes it throughout the entire effective range of the circuit,” explains Richard Neubersch. The electromagnetic field of the apartment or house thus becomes a harmonious field. In-house WLAN transmitters, cell phones or cordless phones are interference-free because they are connected to the harmonic current field and therefore emit the same harmonic information.

Epidemiological study with soldiers confirms the results of laboratory and animal studies: soldiers who used their cell phone more than 20 times a day had a significantly lower sperm concentration on average than soldiers who used their cell phone less than once a week. This is the result of the largest epidemiological study conducted in Switzerland to date.
