Children recently demonstrated in Germany against their parents’ cell phone addiction. According to studies, one in three children is jealous of their parents’ smartphone. Frequent cell phone use has a detrimental effect on children’s development. A new brochure also draws attention to the dangers of mobile phone radiation, especially for children.
Little Emil loves his parents more than anything. There’s just one thing that really annoys the seven-year-old: Dad constantly looking at his smartphone. According to a report on diagnose-funk.org, the student from Eppendorf has now organized a demonstration. The motto: “Play with ME! Not with your cell phones.” The response has been overwhelming. Emil has obviously struck a nerve. “I want to give a speech at the beginning,” Emil has decided. Not only many children who lack the attention of their parents would agree with him. Psychologists and pediatricians also warn that children react with hormonal stress if their parents do not respond to their eye contact. Children feel disregarded and react with anger. This can result in behavioral problems and hyperactivity. Similarly, entire professional groups responsible for the safety of young children – from lifeguards to traffic police officers – repeatedly warn of the increased risk of accidents due to cell phone distraction. Around 200 people marched through St. Pauli on Saturday because of this. It was organized by little Emil – it was his big day.
Every third child
According to a report on welt.de, one in three children is apparently downright jealous of their parents’ smartphone. A recent survey by the opinion research institute Yougov confirms this trend for Sweden. There, one in three children suffers from the fact that their parents often prefer to spend their time with their cell phone rather than with their offspring. One in five children has complained that their parents are too engrossed in their phone. In the capital Stockholm, the proportion was as high as 30 percent, reports Die Welt. And the parents obviously know that something is wrong. Twelve percent admitted to not supervising their children enough in playgrounds or swimming pools because they were busy with their smartphones. Among parents in Stockholm, this proportion was 20 percent.
Increased risk of depression and concentration disorders
Even small children notice how much attention is paid to the handy screen and often feel left behind. This is detrimental to the child’s development and family ties. It is well known that children learn primarily by imitating their parents. Even in elementary school, these children can stand out due to concentration problems, motor hyperactivity, obesity and an unhealthy diet because they are constantly on their smartphones. Excessive cell phone use is also said to increase the risk of depression. Psychologists also warn that children who receive little attention from their parents because they prefer to spend time on their cell phones will later find it normal to be inattentive in certain situations. A child gets the feeling that it is alone with its needs and that it cannot rely on mommy or daddy.
New: Brochure on the risks of mobile communications for children
Media consumption and mobile phone radiation pose particular risks for children. The Kompetenzinitiative zum Schutz von Mensch, Umwelt und Demokratie e.V., diagnose:funk and the Stiftung für Kinder have now published a handy brochure on this topic for parents, families and educational practitioners. It provides concise information on the risks of modern media consumption: age-specific from pregnancy to adolescence, thematically from the effects of mobile phone radiation to addiction-like manifestations. The brochure provides practical tips for age-appropriate, balanced and healthy media use by children and young people. The publication is particularly suitable for parents, families, daycare centers, schools, educational institutions, pedagogical, medical, social and related fields of activity.
Generate a harmonic oscillation field
How can you protect yourself and your children from high-frequency radiation and electrosmog? “The law of resonance states that no resonances can occur in an oscillation field with oscillations whose frequencies lie outside those of the field,” says Richard Neubersch, owner of Swiss Harmony in Grellingen, a company that specializes in the harmonization of electrosmog. In other words: In a harmonic oscillation field, artificial radiation has no effect, regardless of who generates it, whether it comes from a neighbor or a nearby mobile phone mast. The mobile products from Swiss Harmony (BioRing, BodyCard, BioBracelet and the BioPatch) harmonize the human body by transmitting the harmonic vibration as information to the human energy system. This means that artificially created radiation fields can no longer resonate.
Protection from harmful radiation
In concrete terms, this means Products from Swiss Harmony for harmonizing houses and apartments ensure that the electricity that supplies a building with electricity receives a different message. “They transfer the information of the visible light spectrum to the passing current via the resonance path, which in turn distributes it throughout the entire effective range of the circuit,” explains Richard Neubersch. The electromagnetic field of the apartment or house thus becomes a harmonious field. In-house WLAN transmitters, cell phones or cordless phones are interference-free because they are connected to the harmonic current field and therefore emit the same harmonic information.
