The mobile phone myth is no longer just a marginal phenomenon in the technical and health sector. Radiation exposure from mobile communications and electrosmog has now reached a political and social dimension.
Protestant theologian Werner Thiede, for example, sums up this development in his two books. In his book Mythos Mobilfunk (2012), the author addresses, among other things, the seemingly magical moments of seductive mobile communications technology. Where does that leave human reason, wonders Werner Thiede. This question is more than justified when you realize the social functions of the mobile communications myth and the gigantic growth markets of smartphones & co. Why do politicians and authorities protect this mobile phone myth?
Social mammoth program with consequences
According to Werner Thiede, a demythologization of this myth is urgently overdue. The fact that scientific and medical initiatives are questioning the enormous increase in radiation exposure with good reason is also discussed in his book, as is the damage to plants and animals caused by mobile communications. The latest book, entitled “Digitaler Turmbau zu Babel” (Digital Tower of Babel ) and published this year, focuses even more strongly on the broad impact of digitalization in the near future. Werner Thiede also focuses on theology and the church as addressees. Referring to the biblical tradition of the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11), he asks whether the mammoth social program of feverish digital omni-networking is not an expression of “an evil arrogance” that “seeks to build paradise on earth on its own authority.” Are there not already signs of an “emerging digital mass madness”? Counter-movements by minorities would obviously hardly stand a chance.
The consequences have long been known
The consequences of radio waves and microwaves were already known 83 years ago. In August 1932, the German doctor Erwin Schliephake published scientific data in the Deutsche Medizinische Wochenschrift on the “microwave” or “radio wave disease” caused by radio transmitters with the following symptoms: severe tiredness and exhaustion during the day, restless sleep at night, headaches to the point of unbearability, high susceptibility to infections. According to Schliephake, these symptoms were not due to the thermal effects, but to the athermal effects of high-frequency electromagnetic radiation. The harmful effects of high-frequency electromagnetic and electrical radiation have been reproduced in thousands of studies. According to a report by Pravda TV, this so-called microwave disease was confirmed among many others in 1966 in Russian and in 1970 in English by the scientific work of Russian author Zinaida Gordon of the Moscow Institute of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases.
Investigation disappeared in the archive
In 1996, Professor Karl Hecht was commissioned by the German Federal Institute for Telecommunications to carry out a search of the Russian specialist literature on the health and biological effects of high-frequency electromagnetic radiation. The data in the 1997 report, which was based on 878 scientific papers, was apparently so overwhelming by German standards that it disappeared into the archives. To date, countless studies have been published on the dangers of mobile phone radiation. A study funded by the International Agency for Research on Cancer in France in 2008, for example, found that the probability of adults developing a brain tumor on the side of the head preferred for phone use increases by 40 percent after just ten years of cell phone use.
Scientists sound the alarm
Recently, scientists from 39 countries called on the UN, WHO and national governments to establish strict regulations regarding the use of cell phones and other devices that generate electromagnetic fields. Almost 200 scientists have published around 2,000 documents that have been reviewed by other researchers. They deal with the health and biological effects of non-ionizing radiation, which is part of the electromagnetic field spectrum. In a letter, they emphasize that the use of devices such as cell phones can lead to genetic damage, cancer, changes in the reproductive system and learning and memory disorders.
Europe-wide turnaround required
The highest decision-making body of the Council of Europe, the Standing Committee, called for a Europe-wide turnaround in mobile communications policy in its resolution “The potential dangers of electromagnetic fields and their effects on the environment” on May 27, 2011. It calls on European governments to do everything possible to reduce exposure to electromagnetic fields. Concrete immediate measures are proposed to governments, such as awareness campaigns, strict rules for cell phones in schools, more say in site selection, continuous monitoring of all installations and the application of the ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). It also calls for the recognition of the athermal harmful effects of microwave radiation and the resulting mandatory reduction in limit values as well as an immediate precautionary policy. What has become of it? Where do we stand today?

Swiss Harmony: Protection against harmful radiation
“Swiss Harmony” products for harmonizing houses and apartments ensure that the electricity that supplies a building with electricity receives a different message. They transmit the information of the visible light spectrum to the passing current via the resonance path, which in turn distributes it throughout the entire effective range of the circuit. The electromagnetic field of the apartment or house becomes a harmonious field. Home Wi-Fi transmitters or cordless telephones are interference-free because they are connected to the harmonic current field and therefore emit the same harmonic information.
Generate a harmonic oscillation field
The law of resonance states that no resonances can occur in an oscillating field with oscillations whose frequencies lie outside those of the field. In other words: In a harmonic oscillation field, artificial radiation has no effect, regardless of who generates it, whether it comes from a neighbor or a nearby mobile phone mast. The mobile products from Swiss Harmony (BioRing, BodyCard, BioBracelet and the BioPatch) harmonize the human body by transmitting the harmonic vibration as information to the human energy system. This means that artificially created radiation fields can no longer resonate.
