From mobile phone radiation to electrohypersensitivity

Researchers have noted an increase in electro-hyper-sensitivity and speak of a combined effect between mobile phone radiation and other environmental pollution. Recently, Swiss television SRF also reported on the 31 percent increase in childhood leukemia.

According to a report on diagnose-funk.org, the EuropeanAcademy for EnvironmentalMedicine (EUROPAEM-European Academy for Environmental Medicine) has published the new “EMF Guideline for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of health problems caused by electromagnetic fields”. The guidelines on low-frequency and high-frequency electromagnetic fields (EMF) were drawn up by an international team of scientists and doctors. The guideline presents in detail the current state of research on the risks of EMF radiation, the current state of research on electro-hyper-sensitivity (EHS) and gives recommendations on how doctors can diagnose and treat EHS.

The industry denies the diseases it causes

EHS are also on the rise due to people’s increasing exposure to mobile phone radiation. In this context, the researchers speak of a combined effect between mobile phone radiation and other environmental pollution. This is also addressed in the guidelines. The interactions with amalgam, nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, lead, glyphosate, aluminum, fluorides, cadmium and plasticizers have hardly been researched.

Electrohypersensitivity (EHS) can affect anyone

Just like birds, bees and other creatures, humans are known to react to electromagnetic fields (EMF). Hypersensitivity to EMF, so-called electrohypersensitivity, can be caused by a drop in the tolerance threshold to electromagnetic fields (a weakening of the organism) or by overstressing the organism, which can also be caused by short-term but very high exposure. According to French cancer researcher Dominique Belpomme, if those affected are not treated in time, they can ultimately develop an intolerance to the entire electromagnetic wave spectrum.

Seizures and other symptoms

According to a report on elektrosmognews.de, the case study of a 48-year-old woman from Colorado shows how selectively electromagnetic fields can affect an individual. A viral infection (West Nile virus) had left the woman with paralysis, which later improved. After a modem with a public hotspot function was installed in her immediate vicinity, she developed seizures and other symptoms of illness. The symptoms disappeared or were alleviated after the hotspot was switched off (O. Johansson, M. Redmayne, 2016).

Profit and prosperity
Although there are countless examples of medically confirmed electrosensitive people, the mobile phone industry still systematically regards these facts as a myth. In her article “The Hidden Marginalization of Persons With Environmental Sensitivities” (2), US psychologist Pamela Reed Gibson analyzed this mechanism: “The expectation that people’s bodies will easily adapt to daily doses of widespread toxins – in their homes and work environments” is part of capitalist ideology. For “in a capitalist society, profit and prosperity through participation in the market is an essential objective. The economics of the incapacity of health care services is related to the continuous protection of the business success and acquisition of those who are powerful and rich… How could the Western health paradigm also open up to these problems and see modern problems with a new perspective when it is itself part of Western industry?”

31 percent more cases of childhood leukemia

According to research by the SFR program “10 to 10”, new cases of childhood leukemia have risen from 13 cases per 100,000 children in the last 30 years to 17 today. This corresponds to an increase of 31 percent. Ben Spycher from the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine at the University of Bern said in response to the 10 to 10 survey that this increase may be due to better recording of childhood cancer cases, but at the same time conceded that air pollution and increasing background radiation such as radioactivity could also play a role. The program is aborted when the term increasing background radiation is used. “Radioactivity is only just admitted in passing. But non-ionizing radiation such as that emitted by mobile phones and other wireless networks, such as WLAN, cannot even be mentioned behind closed doors to an industry that generates an annual turnover of 17 trillion dollars (that’s 17,000 billion). This could have very serious consequences for sponsorship and personal careers,” criticizes Hans-U. Jakob, President of Gigaherz.ch, the Swiss interest group for people affected by electrosmog.

The extent to which WLAN radiation in schools is responsible for the unchecked rise in cases of childhood leukemia urgently needs to be investigated, says the Gigaherz.ch president. “And from scientists who have never received a penny of sponsorship money from industry or from money laundering machines such as the ETH Zurich’s Electricity and Mobile Communication Research Foundation.”
