How 5G is driving us crazy

A number of scientists are currently speaking out about the effects of 5G mobile phone radiation – either in interviews or in book form. Karl Hecht has been fighting against Wi-Fi in schools for years and warns of the health consequences of digitalization. The reason: the minimized electromagnetic radiation can cause devastating damage, especially to children, says Karl Hecht, born in 1924, Professor Emeritus of Neurophysiology and Experimental and Clinical Pathological Physiology at Humboldt University in Berlin (Charité) in an interview with SNA. Karl Hecht points out an invisible danger: “Because electromagnetic fields (EMF) cannot be seen, heard, smelled or felt, people do not believe that they exist. The radio waves are athermal, i.e. without a thermal effect, and cause great harm, especially to children.” In the interview, the doctor expresses his concern: “The young organism, which is not yet fully developed – that is until the age of 20 – suffers great damage.” According to Karl Hecht, brain researcher Gertraud Teuchert-Noodt from the University of Bielefeld has proven “that the forebrain is damaged in children and they become psychopaths”.

Driving children crazy

In a research report published in 2019 entitled “Health-damaging effects of smartphones, radar, 5G and wifi”, Karl Hecht warns on 88 pages “of the deadly sins of digitalized humanity”. His expertise is based on 66 years of work as a scientist and doctor – as a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow, neuro- and pathophysiologist, head of a sleep laboratory at the Charité and as a space physician. In the report, Hecht refers to a book published in 2012 entitled “Wie wir unsere Kinder um den Verstand bringen. Digital dementia”. In it, the German psychiatrist and brain researcher Manfred Spitzer criticized the lobbyists of software companies. Manfred Spitzer describes their initiatives to impose computers on children and teachers as either sheer ignorance or unscrupulous commercial interest.

“Finally perceiving scientific findings”

As early as the 1960s, there were around 15 conferences in the USA in which scientists dealt with athermal and thermal waves, the professor emeritus recalls. In a 1969 report by an independent government commission, the conferences warned that electrosmog, i.e. electromagnetic waves, can have just as devastating an effect as chemicals. But after some time, this report was kept under wraps by the industry and the military. “Politicians should finally take note of scientific findings,” demands Karl Hecht.

“Catastrophic effects”

Physicist Prof. Dr. Klaus Buchner is no enemy of technology and mobile telephony, but he makes no secret of the fact that radio radiation is demonstrably harmful and that the new 5G generation of mobile phones could have catastrophic consequences for us all. In his book “5G madness”, he provides information about the background and dangers of mobile communications, especially the new 5G standard, in an exciting, easy-to-understand and well-founded book. To this end, the former MEP, together with the environmental physician Dr. med. Monika Krout, draws on serious studies and case studies that have hardly been reported on to date. The book aims to encourage readers to form their own opinions and shows ways in which alternative technical solutions could reduce radiation to a fraction of what it is today. The mobile communications expert also gives specific recommendations on how everyone can reduce radiation – in some cases by taking simple and inexpensive measures. Three billion dollars for the mobile communications industry

Despite the warnings from the scientific community, the 5G wave seems to be advancing. The Kompetenzinitiative zum Schutz von Mensch, Umwelt und Demokratie e. V . , an international, interdisciplinary and non-partisan association of scientists, doctors, lawyers and technicians in particular, writes: “In the meantime, we have noticed that the expansion of 5G/mobile communications is being driven forward by industry and the state.” During the coronavirus pandemic, 113 mobile network operators in 48 countries have apparently started to build a 5G network. The GSMA predicts that operators will spend 80 percent of the sector’s investment costs (USD 890 billion) on 5G networks over the next five years. In GSMA Intelligence’s 2020 global consumer trend survey, 37 percent of consumers said they intend to upgrade to 5G, up from 30 percent in 2019. “The state’s radiation protection ideology of harmlessness has played a major role in the 5G/mobile communications industry developing into a significant global economic factor in recent decades,” says the Competence Initiative. In 2020, the global mobile communications industry generated almost three trillion US dollars, or 3,000 billion dollars. Mobile network operators alone contribute almost 1.4 trillion dollars to this figure. This makes it probably the largest and most important industry of all. “It goes without saying that new technologies can provide important impetus for new business models, markets and economic prosperity, not least through state funding and a legal framework. In the mobile communications sector, however, the proximity between the state and industry is very close,” the competence initiative notes with concern.

Another book tip: “Funkstille”
