Courage to change course
The current crisis surrounding the coronavirus pandemic offers an opportunity to discuss the risks to health and the environment anew – for example in connection with 5G mobile communications technology.
The environmental and consumer organization diagnose:funk published a 20-page focus on the research situation and the technical possibilities for wireless data transmission via LED light. This so-called Visual Light Communication (VLC) is regarded as an innovative alternative to conventional wireless LAN, which is harmful to health. This Focus is the most detailed compilation to date of the biological effects of wireless data transmission via LED light.
Away from harmful wireless LAN!
“Wireless data transmission via light is the future, because this technology can easily replace harmful wireless LAN in many cases,” says Jörn Gutbier, Chairman of diagnose:funk. “Now public institutions such as schools, hospitals and train stations must lead the way and introduce visual light communication. The same applies to buses, trains and airports, but also to large employers. Manufacturers of smartphones, tablets and notebooks will soon be equipping these devices with transmitters and receivers for VLC signals. This development will lead us away from harmful wireless WLAN and towards innovative and health-friendly mobile communication via light.” Since the beginning of 2017, for example, the Fraunhofer HHI has been working with the Hegel-Gymnasium in Stuttgart to equip a classroom with Visible Light Communication technology (VLC) (see also report from November 7, 2017).
Appeal from doctors and scientists
Data transmission via light is still in its infancy. Wireless data communication – especially for cell phones – is still dominated by non-ionizing radiation. High-profile experts and scientists from around the world have signed an appeal to the World Health Organization (WHO) against 5G mobile phone technology. This is because 5G requires more antennas in order to maintain the network. In addition, millimeter waves, the frequency of which is normally used by the military, are being used for the first time. There are no tests that prove that the radiation from 5G antennas is safe for living beings such as humans, animals and the environment. In an open letter to the German government, doctors in crisis are calling for a drastic reduction in the increasing radiation exposure caused by wireless technologies. According to diagnose:funk.org, Frank Clegg, former President of Microsoft Canada and CEO of Canadians for Safe Technology (C4ST), is alsocalling on the Canadian government to suspend the 5G rollout, opt for secure and reliable fiber optic connections and prove the economic benefits of 5G. Frank Clegg has been in the technology industry for over 40 years. He knows the benefits that wireless technology brings, but has also seen the potential damage it can cause if not used correctly.
Appropriate risk perception required
For the Kompetenzinitiative zum Schutz von Mensch, Umwelt und Demokratie e. V., an international, interdisciplinary and non-partisan specialist association, the coronavirus crisis has prompted a new discussion of the risks to health and the environment. “We are missing an appropriate risk perception in politics and business with regard to the downsides of digitalization and mobile communications,” emphasizes the competence initiative in its statement “Courage to change course” in view of the corona crisis. The inevitable combination of digitalization and wireless technologies, which affects all mobile phone generations up to the current 5G issue, is not a solution, but part of the serious risks to our health and environment. “If we follow the EMF Guideline 2016 presented by international researchers and doctors, for example, it seems urgent to consider the increasing radiation exposure from mobile communications in conjunction with other environmental pollutants and to recognize its negative health consequences,” demands the competence initiative.
Generate a harmonic oscillation field
How can you protect yourself and your children from high-frequency radiation and electrosmog? “The law of resonance states that no resonances can occur in an oscillation field with oscillations whose frequencies lie outside those of the field,” says Richard Neubersch, owner of Swiss Harmony in Grellingen, a company that specializes in the harmonization of electrosmog. In other words: In a harmonic oscillation field, artificial radiation has no effect, regardless of who generates it, whether it comes from a neighbor or a nearby mobile phone mast. It sees itself as a help to stay centered in the heart despite the extreme situation that is currently keeping the world on tenterhooks.
