Tablets and the health of our children

Tablets and the health of our children was the topic of our last blog. Here we present another study conducted by the physician Dr. Devra Davis.

Although many believe that tablets and similar devices are important learning aids, here is another critical report from the field of medicine.

Dr. Devra Davis, Chair of the Environmental Health Trust, stresses that radio frequency radiation from devices such as cell phones and tablets pose a significant health risk to children. The radiation from cell phones penetrates twice as deep into a child’s head as it does in an adult.

Dr. Davis continues: “People who started using cell phones before the age of 20 have a 4-8 times higher risk of developing a brain tumor 10 years later!” She also warns of dangers for adults, especially women who sleep or jog with their cell phones. “We observe breast cancer in the breast where the young women carry their phones while jogging.”

“The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies mobile and wireless radiation as a possible class 2 carcinogen. This means it is in the same category as lead, DDT and chloroform,” she continues.

Epidemiological study with soldiers confirms the results of laboratory and animal studies: soldiers who used their cell phone more than 20 times a day had a significantly lower sperm concentration on average than soldiers who used their cell phone less than once a week.
